Chinmaya Mission is commemorating Swami Chinmayananda’s Birth Centenary with a series of events worldwide. Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra is part of this year-long Chinmayananda Birth Centenary Celebrations which was launched on 6th May 2015 at Ernakulam by Former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.Chinmaya Jyoti Chinmaya Mission San Diego is Chinmaya Jyoti Hari Om! The light of spiritual knowledge given by our Pujya Gurudev has reached here and should be kept glowing.The Jyoti Yatra recognizes, honors, and celebrates the greatness of Pujya Gurudev’s life in a fifteen-month-long event, starting on Gurudev’s 99th birthday on May 8th 2015 and culminating on Gurudev’s Mahasamadhi day on August 3rd, 2016.
Chinmaya Mission Los Angeles (CMLA) organizes yearly Yatras (pilgrimages) to many places of historical importance to give rare opportunity to its members to travel together with the Acharyas where they come to understand each other closely and also have exclusive satsangs with Acharyas. In the past the following pilgrimages were organized by CMLA: Char Dham Yatra (1997) Kailash-Manasarovar.As part of the Birth Centenary Celebrations of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, and in line with the Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra that is taking place in India, Chinmaya Mission UK has launched the Chinmaya Paduka Yatra (CPY).
